The colour scheme for Spring 2009 is inspired by the vibrant colours of Mexico - the vegetables and fruit in the markets, the multicoloured paper flowers and the stunning sand of sea of its caribbean coast with shades of garnet, coral, pomegranate, blossom, cobalt, ocean, sea green, cactus and apple. |

HANDLOOM COLOURS FOR WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS ONLY FOR FORWARD ORDERING |
|
We receive many requests to buy our organic handwoven cotton fabric from wholesalers or craft workers wanting to use a substantial amount of this fabric. We are setting out here exactly what we can do to help.
THE PRODUCT
Our fabric starts as a non-GM seed planted in the Kutch area of Gujerat, North India and grown organically under fair trading conditions by Agrocel and certified by SKAL. The spun cotton is transported by lorry to our producer partners in South India where it is dyed (using non Azo dyes) and handwoven by the 300 weavers working with us in K.V. Kuppam. The fabric is a shirting weight in a 40/40 weight (this means that 40 hanks, each measuring 840 yards weighs 1 lb) It is 122 cm wide and comes in pieces of approximately 19 metres. |

COLOURS Our minimum order for wholesale is £180 (plus VAT and transport from Bristol to you, at cost). The cloth is sold in pieces of approximately 18/19 m at £2.55 per metre - about £48 a piece with a minimum order of 4 pieces (assorted colours). We cannot accept telephone orders - please post, fax or e-mail orders to: |

| SAMPLES We can supply wholesale customers with small swatches of the colours shown on this page. If you want to have larger pieces of cloth to see if the weight and quality is what you require then we can sell you pieces in random colours from our stock (ie you simply request - plain colour - stripe or check) - advance payment of £3.00 a metre (including VAT) plus £2.50 post and packing will be required. |
Any imperfections are part of the character of handwoven cloth and will not affect its strength. As with all natural textiles the colours will gently fade over time. The cloth has been pre-washed and ironed and will not shrink.![]() |
